I would like you to prayerfully consider the opportunities in coming west to build a life and a church in North Dakota. This is a call to a purposeful migration to Bismarck, North Dakota to work and to help us build an Orthodox Presbyterian Church in this booming city.
Bismarck is a city of over 65,000 people and growing. It is the capital of North Dakota and it does not have a Reformed/Presbyterian church. Because of the oil boom that is centered to the north and west of Bismarck, there are thousands of good to high paying jobs available. Many of these jobs are in the six figure range and almost everyone is hiring. Whether you are an auto mechanic or a surgeon, there are job openings in Bismarck. The Need and Opportunities are tremendous and to help you check out job listings there are links under the JOBS tab.
Bethel is an established OPC church in close proximity to Bismarck that has a fully supported pastor and two able and involved elders leading a wonderful church of caring and committed Christians. We are what you might call “old-school Presbyterians” with simple, Word-centered worship and straightforward Bible-based sermons. You can listen to my sermons and read my blogs to get a better taste of what we are like and judge if you would fit in with us.
If you need work and are looking for a new start, but would like to do so with purpose and to help further the work of the kingdom, consider coming to Bismarck. A vibrant OPC church in North Dakota’s capital city is a real possibility if we had four or five new families with jobs who were committed to the ministry of Bethel.
Please prayerfully consider moving to Bismarck and joining us as we proclaim God’s free grace. If the Lord would so lead you, we will help you in every way that we can on this end. Yes, the winters are cold and the cost of living a little higher, but God’s work needs to be done here and there are companies willing to pay you well while you help build His kingdom in this needy mission field. Come and join us!
