You may have noticed that you are not able to make comments on Bethel’s blog articles. This is a feature that can be turned on or off and we have chosen to keep the comments turned off. This is not because we do not value your opinion, but because these are open to the public and often turn into unprofitable discourse. Here is what Dr. Carl Trueman, wrote regarding his blogs, “I have yet to read a ‘comments thread’ on any topic of significance that does not quickly degenerate into moronic commentary that is as notable for its vacuousness as it is for its personal abuse.” That seems harsh, but it is undoubtedly true.
Although you are not allowed to comment on Bethel’s website, I personally value your thoughts, so if you would like to interact with an article or have questions or a topic you would like dealt with, you may email me at pastor@bethelopc.net. Please consider this a genuine invitation to do so.
I also would enjoy hearing from some of you who are not a part of Bethel. I would like to know who you are and where you live and perhaps your reason for visiting our site.
And, a side note. You may have noticed that I have quoted or referred to Dr. Trueman on various occasions. He is an OPC minister and a professor at Westminster Seminary who I have a very high regard for him. I have not read anything by him that has not been insightful and thought provoking. I would encourage you to read any of his books for much spiritual profit.
